Stimson Gives Back

Last week, Stimson student volunteers visited Island Harvest in Melville. They brought with them 1,144 pounds of food items which is estimated to help provide 990 meals! The staff at Island Harvest gave our students a tour of the warehouse and explained how food banks help people in our community. We are proud of our student volunteers!

Weekly Recap

This week, our student volunteers took an impactful trip to Island Harvest, where they delivered an incredible 1,144 pounds of food—enough to help 990 people in need! During their visit, students toured the facility and gained a deeper understanding of the crucial role food banks play in supporting our community. It was a meaningful and eye-opening experience for all involved.
In addition, our Social Studies classes had a special visit from Mr. Toby Walker, a nationally and internationally recognized guitarist and songwriter. Students were captivated by his performance, which showcased a variety of musical styles. It was an unforgettable treat to hear such talent firsthand!
Looking ahead, we are gearing up for our "Overcoming March Madness" bracket challenge in homerooms. Excitement is building as students prepare to participate in this fun and engaging competition.
What an exciting time at Stimson Middle School!

Welcome to Breakfast at Stimson

This school year our Nutrition Program will be providing both breakfast and lunch meals at no charge to all of our students. For school arrival each morning, we have placed kiosks at the different entrances to the building; each one stocked with breakfast choices for our students. The locations were chosen to make sure everyone can "grab" a quick breakfast and be on their way to homeroom in a timely fashion.

Make your family mornings a bit less hectic and join us for breakfast !!
