This week, our 7th-grade music students had the incredible opportunity to experience a visit from Walt Whitman High School’s Marching Band and Winterguard! The performance was nothing short of spectacular, leaving our students in awe of the energy, precision, and passion displayed by these talented musicians and performers. The engagement from our students was remarkable as they watched, listened, and even interacted with members of the band. We are so grateful to Walt Whitman High School for inspiring the next generation of musicians and performers at Stimson!
This week’s homeroom activity, "Overcoming March Madness," focused on equipping our students with strategies to manage big emotions. Through engaging discussions and thoughtful exercises, students explored ways to handle stress, frustration, and challenges in a positive and productive manner. It was inspiring to see our Stimson students take these lessons to heart, building resilience and emotional intelligence that will serve them well beyond the classroom.
A huge round of applause to our Challenger Basketball team for their outstanding victory over Massapequa! Their hard work, determination, and teamwork paid off in an exciting game that showcased their talent and dedication. But the action isn’t over yet! Our team is back in action this afternoon at 4 PM with a home game against Syosset. Let’s show up, cheer loudly, and support our incredible athletes as they take the court once again. Go Stimson WILDCATS!
