What a fantastic week it's been at Stimson Middle School!
The sweet sounds of music have been echoing through our halls as our talented students prepare for upcoming musical performances. The energy and dedication during rehearsals are truly inspiring - get ready for a show you won’t want to miss!
Our Spring Sports Season is in full swing! From the track to the fields, our student-athletes are giving it their all. Thank you to everyone who’s come out to support our team - your encouragement makes a big difference!
This weekend, Stimson had the honor of participating in the 100th Anniversary Time Capsule Ceremony. Students and staff came together to bury artifacts that represent our school community toda - items that will be unearthed in 50 years! It was a joyful and meaningful event that connected us to the past and inspired visions of the future.
Looking ahead, this week on Tuesday, May 6, our 8th graders will be taking the NYS Science Assessment. Also, our 7th and 8th grade students will be holding elections for class office on Wednesday and Thursday. On Thursday evening, we proudly host our National Junior Honor Society Induction Ceremony at the WWHS Performing Arts Center, where we will recognize students who exemplify scholarship, leadership, service, character, and citizenship.
We’re also celebrating Teacher Appreciation Week all week long! Please join us in showing gratitude to our incredible educators who work tirelessly to support and inspire our students every day.

Important Reminders

  • Silent and Sustained Reading is EVERY Wednesday! We ask that all students have a book to read during homeroom and each Wednesday moving forward! If you do not have a book to read, please visit our library!
  • Don't forget to charge your chromebook EVERYDAY!

 

Student Spotlights

Celebrating 100 years of South Huntington Schools

This weekend, Stimson Middle School proudly participated in the 100th Anniversary Ceremony at Walt Whitman High School, where a commemorative time capsule was buried. Each school in the district contributed a container filled with unique and meaningful artifacts that reflect the spirit of their school community. The time capsule was ceremoniously lowered into the ground, where it will remain for the next 50 years. Happy 100 years to South Huntington Schools!

Welcome to Breakfast at Stimson


This school year our Nutrition Program will be providing both breakfast and lunch meals at no charge to all of our students. For school arrival each morning, we have placed kiosks at the different entrances to the building; each one stocked with breakfast choices for our students. The locations were chosen to make sure everyone can "grab" a quick breakfast and be on their way to homeroom in a timely fashion. 

Make your family mornings a bit less hectic and join us for breakfast !!
