Weekly Recap

As we head into the very last full week of the school year, excitement is in the air! Our building has been buzzing with activity with end-of-year celebrations, final performances, field trips, and so much more. It's a time of reflection, pride, and anticipation for what's ahead.
We’re especially looking forward to the many culminating events planned throughout the month of June. From award ceremonies to the Bon Voyage Dance, there are plenty of opportunities to celebrate our students' hard work and growth.
Please stay informed about upcoming final exams and Regents exams by checking the school website and calendar regularly.
And to our 8th graders—this is your moment! We are so proud of all you’ve accomplished, and we can't wait to celebrate your achievements in the coming days.

Student Spotlights

Music Olympics Were a Hit!!

In the weeks following their Spring Concert, the 7th Grade music students have been prepping and competing for a spot in the 1st Annual Music Olympics. Each ensemble was constructed of smaller teams that have competed, in class, to earn points. Games and activities ranged from musical knowledge, musical skill, team building and even some paper airplane construction.
Each ensemble submitted a final "team" to compete on Thursday, June 5th in the Forum.  Students from each ensemble were invited to watch while the winning team worked hard to be able to hoist the "Music Olympics Champion" trophy.  After a really intense round of hula hoop, the 7th Grade Chorus came away with the trophy.

Congratulations to Mr. Rovalino, Mr Guillen-Ortega and Mrs. Smith for a fun-filled Olympic Games! Until next year...

Silas Meets Stimson 2025

Silas Wood students had an opportunity to learn a bit about Stimson Middle School and meet Mr. Duggan and the rest of the administrative team last week! From clubs, sports, and academics...it was all covered! Thank you to all that made it possible!

Congratulations to Meghan Gulickson - Diana Cinquemani-Fritze Impact Award Recipient 2025

Meghan consistently volunteers her time at Stimson and in the community. She is currently working on her Girl Scout Silver Award, creating moveable bookshelves to create separate quiet reading and learning spaces in our library. She spends most of her unch sessions working on socialization with our Life Skills students in Mrs. Kurnicki's class. Meghan has received Stimson PRIDE awards, is an athlete and if all of that is not enough, she maintains a high average while taking honors courses.

Challenger Sports Wraps Up Their Sports Season!

We are so proud of our Challenger Athletes! This past week, our students finished a successful Track and Field season with their final event! We can't wait to see what the Fall season brings for our Challenger Athletes!

Welcome to Breakfast at Stimson

This school year our Nutrition Program will be providing both breakfast and lunch meals at no charge to all of our students. For school arrival each morning, we have placed kiosks at the different entrances to the building; each one stocked with breakfast choices for our students. The locations were chosen to make sure everyone can "grab" a quick breakfast and be on their way to homeroom in a timely fashion.

Make your family mornings a bit less hectic and join us for breakfast !!
