We're still buzzing from the incredible energy of our 2025 Highhold Games and Pep Rally last Friday! This wasn't just any event; it was the highlight of the year, a full-day celebration honoring our middle school's 60th Anniversary, and it truly was a day to remember, full of tradition and new memories. We started the celebration off with a lively Pep Rally, featuring electrifying performances from our amazing Stimson Band and dazzling Dance Team. Our Fall Sports teams were also buzzing with excitement as they graced the stage to receive recognition. The games kicked off outdoors with a fantastic opening ceremony led by Mr. Duggan, where our talented Jazz Choir set the perfect tone, singing a phenomenal rendition of the 1965 classic Beatles song, "Baby, Drive My Car." Students participated in a host of spirited games, including potato sack races, barrel rolling, pickleball, and volleyball. The competitive highlight of the evening was definitely the intense flag football tournament. A huge congratulations goes out to the winning team of the 2025 Highhold Flag Football Tournament, TEAM ELITE, and their coach, Mr. Franklin, on their well-deserved victory! Even our teachers got in on the action, participating in some challenging and hilarious games of their own! This whole day was about more than just fun; it was a day to honor tradition and make new ones too. A tremendous thank you goes out to all the people who made this special day happen, with special recognition to the Silas Wood/Stimson PTA for their generous donations and enthusiastic participation, as well as the tireless staff that helped plan and execute every detail of this special milestone. We can't wait to see what the next 60 years hold!
