We hope you enjoyed the long weekend and had a meaningful observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day yesterday. As we return to our classes, we have several important events coming up this week and beyond.
Please join us this Thursday evening for our Ilas Wood/Stimson PTA meeting. Immediately following the meeting, we will host our Reflections Ceremony. We invite you to stay and celebrate the creativity and artistic achievements of our talented students.
Looking ahead to next week, please mark your calendars for Monday, January 27th. Our PTA will be holding a No Cook Night fundraiser at Catusco's. This is a wonderful opportunity to support our school while enjoying a meal with your family.
Finally, excitement is building in the forum as the cast of Beetlejuice is hard at work preparing for this year's spring musical. The students are dedicating themselves to rehearsals, and we look forward to sharing their performance with the community in March!

Mrs. Orlando's 7th Grade Chorus Hosts The Oscars!

Students in Miss Orlando’s 7th grade chorus had to create a scene dramatizing a musical lesson they learned in chorus. Students were responsible for writing a script, creating a set, directing, acting, and an acceptance speech if they won!

Cell Phone Policy Updates

Stimson students may not use their cell phones during the school day. Students MUST secure their phones in their lockers at the start of the school day where it will be stored until dismissal. We will be communicating this to students regularly throughout the month of September. As of October 1st, any student found with their cell phone during the school day will have their phone taken and held until the end of the day where they can pick it up at dismissal. If a student is found to have their phone a second time, their phone will be taken and held until a parent or guardian can pick it up from school. Additional instances will result in detention.
