May at Stimson Middle School is officially in full swing, and the energy in our hallways is nothing short of electric. Between the melodies in the air and the preparations for our biggest traditions, there is so much to celebrate. Here is a look at what’s happening in our community.
This week, the spotlight belongs to our incredible musicians. Our 7th and 8th Grade Concerts are taking place, and to say we are proud would be an understatement. Our students have dedicated countless hours to perfecting their craft, and hearing that hard work come to life on stage is always a highlight of the year. A huge thank you to our music department and our talented performers for filling Stimson with such incredible sound.
Last week, we had the absolute pleasure of hosting our Incoming 7th Grade Parent Orientation. It was a thrill to see so many new faces and share a glimpse into the Stimson Experience. From our rigorous academics to our diverse extracurriculars, we loved showcasing everything that makes our school a special place to grow. Welcome to the family, we can’t wait to see your students in the halls this fall.
Next week is shaping up to be another epic chapter in the month of May. First, we are honored to take a group of our students to Walt Whitman High School for a special event recognizing those who serve for Armed Services Day. It is a powerful opportunity for our students to learn about service, sacrifice, and community. Additionally, preparation is officially underway for one of the biggest, loudest, and most anticipated events of the year: The Independence Cup. This is a Stimson staple, and the excitement is already reaching a fever pitch. Please see the flyer for details!
