We are officially winding down the school year, but we are finishing strong. It has been a week of celebration, strikes, and serious school spirit. Here is everything you need to know about what is happening at Stimson.
Last week, we gathered at the Walt Whitman PAC for a truly special evening. The National Junior Honor Society officially inducted its newest members during their annual ceremony. It was an incredible night honoring students who embody the pillars of scholarship, service, leadership, character, and citizenship. Huge congratulations to all our new and returning NJHS members. Your hard work and dedication to our community make us Stimson Proud.
Hard work pays off, and our Penny Wars top earning homerooms traded their notebooks for bowling shoes on May 14th for a well deserved victory lap at the bowling alley. From high scores to high fives, it was a fantastic day of fun outside the classroom. Congratulations to our winners, as your effort during our Penny Wars fundraiser was incredible. Thanks for being such awesome leaders in our school community.
Mark your calendars, because the event of the year is almost here. On June 5th, we are going big with the Stimson Independence Cup. This is not just a game; it is a massive celebration where history meets the pitch. We are honoring 250 years of American history while also recognizing the spirit of the World Cup. Expect a day filled with competition, camaraderie, and a whole lot of fun as we celebrate our nation and our school. We cannot wait to see who takes home the trophy.
As we head into these final weeks, let us keep that momentum going. Stay focused, stay kind, and let us make these last few weeks the best ones yet.
