As the school year draws to a close, we welcome you to the final edition of the Stimson Spotlight. This is a time for deep reflection, celebration, and looking forward to the bright futures ahead for all of our students. Looking back at where we started, it is truly incredible to see how far we have all come over the course of these past ten months. Every hallway, classroom, and playing field has been filled with dedication, growth, and moments that define who we are as a school community. We cannot let this final week pass without mentioning how deeply proud we are of all the hard work, resilience, and passion our students and staff have poured into this school year.
Last week brought an absolute whirlwind of excitement to our campus with the running of the Stimson Independence Cup. This unique tournament pulled double duty, serving as a spectacular celebration of the two hundred and fiftieth anniversary of the United States of America while also channeling the global passion of a World Cup themed soccer competition. The love of the beautiful game was on full display as students took to the field, demonstrating outstanding teamwork, sportsmanship, and athletic skill. It was a historic and thrilling week that perfectly captured the energetic spirit of our student body and gave us memories that will last long after the final whistle.
As we wrap up these final days, we find ourselves looking forward to all the amazing things our students will undoubtedly accomplish in their lives ahead. The foundation built here at Stimson is just the beginning of many great journeys. To our departing eighth graders, we want to wish you a wonderful, relaxing summer. It has been an honor to watch you grow, and we send our absolute best wishes to you as you turn the page and head off to High School. Take everything you have learned here and continue to strive for excellence. To our seventh graders, we are so incredibly happy to have started this journey with you. You have laid a fantastic groundwork this year, and we want you to return ready to take the reins because next year is officially your year to lead, inspire, and make your mark on Stimson Middle School.
