We have officially reached the beginning of March, and after a long and chilly winter, it is refreshing to see the hallways buzzing with so much energy. The week ahead is shaping up to be one of the most exciting ones yet as we transition into this new month.

Our Penny Wars competition is currently in full swing, and the jars in the cafeteria are quickly filling up. It is great to see such spirited competition between the homerooms as students strategize to boost their own totals while using silver coins to offset their rivals' progress. Not to mention, the generous donations of food and personal hygiene items! We are finishing this fantastic week on a high note with the Lip Sync for Scholarships event this Friday. The performances will take place at the Walt Whitman PAC, and it promises to be a memorable evening of entertainment that supports a wonderful cause for our students.

It is going to be a busy and fun-filled stretch for the entire school. We look forward to seeing everyone bring their best energy to the Penny Wars and showing up to support the performers on Friday night.

Stimson students may not use their cell phones during the school day. Students MUST secure their phones in their lockers at the start of the school day where it will be stored until dismissal. We will be communicating this to students regularly throughout the month of September. As of October 1st, any student found with their cell phone during the school day will have their phone taken and held until a parent or guardian can pick it up from school. Additional instances will result in detention.

All Students enrolled in SHUFSD are eligible to receive free breakfast and lunch in the 25/26 school year!
